| The elementary school librarian has shared to all PTSA members with an update and a message of appreciation regarding the completion of the upper grades (G4-G6) library corner. |

| Students in grades 4, 5, and 6 started the new school year with a finished upper library. Books are now neatly organized into 5 different library carts - making it easy for students to find books they are interested in. There are a wide variety of fiction books, non-fiction books, comics/graphic novels, and more! The newest section of books is the "Jump On the Bandwagon" section. When a class wins the monthly contest by speaking English consistently they are able to select 5 English books they wish to purchase. These new books are then placed in the library for all students to enjoy. |

4・5・6年生の生徒たちは、新しい学年のスタートを完成した上級生用の図書室とともに迎えました。現在、本は5つの図書カートにきちんと整理されており、生徒たちは興味のある本を簡単に見つけられるようになっています。図書室には、小説やノンフィクション、コミックやグラフィックノベルなど、さまざまな種類の本が揃っています！
中でも新しく登場したのが「Jump On the Bandwagon（流行に乗ろう）」コーナーです。月間コンテストで、クラス全体が一貫して英語を話すことに成功すると、ご褒美としてそのクラスが購入したい英語の本を5冊選ぶことができます。その新しい本は図書室に追加され、全生徒が楽しめるようになります。 |

| Students in the upper grades are now also able to check out books on the online library catalogue. Using a barcode scanner students are able to check out their books quickly.This online library system not only helps teachers keep track of how many books students have checked out but also what type of books they are interested in. |

| また、上級生はオンライン図書カタログを使って本を借りられるようになりました。バーコードスキャナーを使うことで、素早く簡単に貸し出し手続きができます。このオンラインシステムにより教師は、生徒が何冊本を借りているか、またどのようなジャンルに興味を持っているかを把握できるようになりました。 |

| None of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the PTSA. Over the last two years a variety of PTSA members have volunteered their time to come in and help Ms. Amanda with the library project. Volunteers helped sort books (discarding old or damaged books), scanned books into the online library catalogue, and labelled the books (so students can easily figure out where books belong). Students and staff are very grateful for the time and effort Ms. Amanda and the PTSA put into making this project a success. Multiple students have already said how much they enjoy the new library, how easy it is to find books they like, and how fun it is to check out new books. |

| こうしたことが実現できたのも、PTSAの皆さまの努力と献身のおかげです。過去2年間、さまざまなPTSAのメンバーがボランティアとして図書室に来て、アマンダ先生と共にプロジェクトに取り組んでくれました。本の仕分け（古くなったり傷んだ本の処分を含む）・オンラインカタログへの登録・ラベル貼りなど、ボランティアの協力があってこそ今の図書室があります。生徒も教職員も、アマンダ先生とPTSAの皆さまがこのプロジェクトの成功に注いでくれた時間と努力に心から感謝しています。すでに多くの生徒たちが、「新しい図書室がとても気に入った！」「自分の好きな本が簡単に見つかる！」「新しい本を借りるのが楽しい！」と話してくれています。 |

| There are so many benefits to reading; not only can it help students gain new knowledge but it can also improve their vocabulary and imagination, and can even reduce stress. It is our hope that students will continue to develop a love of reading and find books they enjoy. So while the library project is pretty much complete, moving forward books will continue to be added to the library so that students have something new to read. |

| 読書には多くのメリットがあります。知識が増えるだけでなく、語彙力や想像力を高めたり、ストレスを軽減したりする効果もあります。私たちは、生徒たちが今後も読書を楽しみ、好きな本を見つけていってくれることを願っています。図書室プロジェクトはほぼ完成しましたが、これからも新しい本が定期的に追加される予定ですので、いつでも新しい本との出会いがありますよ！ |

| On Wednesday, June 4, the PTSA held a uniform bazaar.PTSA board members led the preparation and managed the bazaar. |

| A total of 50,500 yen was raised and will be fully used to support student activities.

| On June 14, following the board meeting, we prepared to update the emergency food supplies for this school year. |

| 6月14日、役員定例会終了後に今年度の非常食への入れ替え作業を行いました。 |

| Fortunately, last year's emergency food -never needed- was distributed to students on the final day of school.

| The first Open Day of the school year 2025 was held on June 21st. |

| PTSA participated along with the faculty, alumni, and current students, welcoming the visitors and sharing school experiences from the parents'perspective. |

| On Thursday, July 3rd, Canada Day and Spirit Cup took place under beautiful blue skies. |

| In the morning, Kindergarten and elementary students enjoyed a variety of field activities, including Fireball, Musical Hoops, Bubbles, Face Painting, and a Water Fight. |
|
| 幼・小生たちは午前中、フィールドでファイアーボール、ミュージカルフープ、バブルス、フェイスペイント、ウォーターファイトなどのアクティビティを楽しんでいました。 |

| Despite the strong sunlight, the children participated with great energy and big smiles, thoroughly enjoying every activity. |

| 強い日差しの中でしたが、子どもたちは元気いっぱいに全てのアクティビティを楽しみ、笑顔があふれる1日になったことでしょう。 |

| To support the event and help prevent heatstroke, the PTSA assisted at each station and set up a cooling rest area, providing 500ml bottles of water to all students. |

| PTSAは各アクティビティの補佐と熱中症予防のための休憩所の設置を行い、全ての子どもたちに500mlの飲料水を配布しました。 |

For junior and senior high school students, the Spirit Cup was organized by the Student Council over two days, starting the day before.
On Day 1, students enjoyed playing soccer, basketball, and volleyball, and had a great time singing karaoke.
On Day 2, club showcases were held in the big gym, featuring impressive performances by the Music, Dance, Drama, and Photography Clubs.
The audience responded to each group's excellent presentation with cheers, applause, and excitement.
The PTSA also distributed trophies, bandanas, and bottles of Aquarius to all students. |

中・高生は7月2日と7月3日の2日間にわたり、生徒会主催のスピリットカップを楽しんでいました。
1日目はサッカー・バスケットボール・バレーボール・カラオケで各チーム得点を競い合い、2日目はビッグジムにて、ミュージック、ダンス、ドラマ、フォトグラフィー、各クラブによる発表会が行われ、どのクラブも見ごたえのある素晴らしいパフォーマンスを披露していました。
会場には大きな歓声と拍手が響き、生徒たちの盛り上がりが伝わってきました。
PTSAからは全生徒にバンダナとアクエリアスを、スピリットカップの優勝チームにはトロフィーを提供しました。 |

| Art Club awards were also announced, with the top three students receiving prizes and gift cards from the PTSA. |

After the showcase, all junior and senior students gathered on the field for a massive water fight.
Thanks to the 10,000 water balloons prepared in advance by the Student Council and PTSA, students and teachers enjoyed an unforgettable, high-energy battle - a spectacular finale to the Spirit Cup. |

発表会のあとは、毎年恒例の全中・高生によるウォーターファイト！
生徒会とPTSAが朝から準備した1万個の水風船を使って、先生と生徒たちが水風船や水を掛け合いながら、白熱したバトルを繰り広げ、スピリットカップの最高のフィナーレを楽しんでいました。 |

| In addition, the PTSA served the traditional Canadian dish, poutine, to students, staff, and faculty. |

| また、2025年度もPTSAから児童・生徒・教職員へカナダの伝統的な料理 「プーティン」をふるまいました。 |

| Once again this year, PTSA members contributed in many ways - from planning and preparation to on-the-day support- helping make Canada Day a truly fun and memorable experience for every student. |

| 今年もPTSA役員とスポットボランティアの保護者が企画・準備から当日の運営補佐まで幅広く関わりました。2025年度のカナダデー＆スピリットカップが子どもたちにとって、楽しく思い出深い1日であったなら嬉しいです。 |
